Megan Boswell Faces Additional Charges
The tri-cities woman accused of killing her 18 month old daughter was back in court on Thursday. Megan Boswell was back in court for a hearing that was supposed to be about her defense attorney’s quest to get a change of venue in the case saying that he believed his client cannot get a fair trial in Sullivan County. However, the hearing took a turn when prosecutors announced a new charge against Boswell. That charge is intentional first degree murder. The prosecution introduced the new charge of first degree murder after they say new evidence has been uncovered that leads them to believe that the death of 18 month old Evelyn Boswell was intentional.
Megan Boswell was already facing charges of criminal homicide. This now brings the charges against her to 20 in all. The change of venue issue will now be heard during a hearing on August 15.
