Missing Gatlinburg Woman’s Car Found In Cocke County

We have an update on that Silver Alert that was issued by the TBI regarding the woman who is missing from Gatlinburg. The Gatlinburg Police Department says that Claudene Whaley’s vehicle has been found in a remote area of Cocke County. The 76 year old woman has been missing since Sunday evening. According to the Gatlinburg PD, Claudene Wahaley’s white 2007 Toyota Highlander was found Wednesday evening near Hartford in the Grassy Fork area of Cocke County on Gulf Road. Ms. Whaley was not located with the vehicle.

 Officials with the TBI, the Gatlinburg Police Department, the Cocke County Sheriff’s Department, Cocke County Emergency Management Agency, and the Grassy Fork Volunteer Fire Department are currently conducting a search in that area.
