Missing Sevier Co Man Found Dead In Knoxville

A young man who has been missing out of Sevier County has been found dead. The TBI had issued an alert back in January for John Tipton who had last been seen by his family on January 15. The Knoxville police had reported a body had been found around 10 am Monday morning. Police responded to 900 Neyland Drive where the body had been found in the river. The body was sent to the forensics center at that time for identification. A positive ID was made that it was the body of John Tipton. Knoxville police are continuing to investigate but do not believe foul play was involved in his death.
