More Features on MyTN app
The Tennessee Department of Human Services has announced some extra features on the MyTN app. The department says the new features will be especially helpful for applicants of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or (SNAP) and Families First program. Many of those participating in those programs depend on their smartphones to access the internet and the MYTN app is a great tool for them to use to follow their accounts. Now with the new features, customers can now file and check the status of an appeal for the denial of TDHS programs on their smartphone via the MyTN app. Also TDHS customers can now search for licensed child care agencies and report the abuse of vulnerable adults…but other new features include the ability to search for permits with the Alcohol Beverage Commission, report TennCare Fraud, search for unclaimed property, and make requests for vital records such as birth certificates. The MYTN app was launched by the state a little less than 3 years ago in February of 2019.
