Morristown Man Among Those Arrested In Bristol Minor Sex Sting
Bristol Tennessee police have announced the arrest of 11 individuals for soliciting illicit sex from minors. Working with the TBI to crack down on human trafficking in northeast Tennessee, authorities placed several decoy advertisements on websites known to be linked to prostitution and commercial sex cases. Those ads were placed last Thursday, March 9th. On Monday, 11 were arrested including one man from Morristown. George Chavez Lopez of Morristown is charged with two counts of Solicitation of a Minor and two counts of Patronizing Prostitution of a Minor. He is being held on a $50,000 bond. Four people from Johnson City were arrested as well as a man from Blountville. Several were arrested from out of state, they were in Kentucky, West Virginia, as well as Boone, NC and Weaverville, NC just north of Asheville.
