Morristown Man Charged With Murder

A Morristown man is being charged with murder in the tri-cities regarding the death of a toddler. A Grand Jury in Sullivan County has indicted 20 year old Easton Vance with numerous charges. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Oct. 21, 2024. According to court documents, on that date first responders were called to an apartment complex in Kingsport where they found a 14-month-old boy unresponsive and attempted to revive him. The child was taken to Indian Path Medical Center but was later pronounced dead.

The Grand Jury indicted Vance on seven felony charges that include First-degree murder; 2 counts of felony murder; Aggravated child abuse; Aggravated child neglect; Aggravated rape of a child. Vance is currently being held in the Sullivan County jail. Further details regarding this case have not been released.
