A man called police in Morristown Wednesday afternoon saying he had been shot at by another man. Brandon Petrey told officers that while at a residence on Taft Street, Petrey got into a verbal altercation with 55 year old Wesley Layne. During the argument, Layne produced a .22 rifle and fired a shot at Petrey. That bullet striking the back of a Ford Taurus. When officers arrived on scene at the residence, Layne, who was standing outside, ran behind the residence. Officers pursued with weapons drawn and Layne surrendered.
