Morristown Man Leads THP On 22 Mile Chase In Stolen Vehicle
A Morristown man is in custody after he led the Tennessee Highway Patrol on a 22 mile chase that ended in Greene County. According to the THP, a state trooper observed a white Kia Soul following too closely while traveling northbound on Interstate 81 around MM 18 Wednesday. When the trooper tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver refused to stop. It turns out that Kia Soul had been stolen about an hour before the trooper spotted it on the interstate. 27 year old Jeffrey Cheyenne Lowe led the highway patrol on a 22 mile chase up the interstate. At one point Lowe struck a pickup truck while trying to pass on the right hand shoulder. No one was injured but Lowe was finally arrested around mile marker 40 in Greene County. Numerous charges are pending against him.
