Morristown Teen Officially Charged In Shooting
Investigators with the Morristown police department have officially charged a 17 year old after that teen shot another teenager near Morristown West High School earlier this week. The shooting happened in an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Sulpher Springs Road Tuesday afternoon. Schools and daycare in the area were put on lockdown while a hunt for the suspect was going on. That hunt ended at a residence on Houston Street where police took a 17 year old male subject into custody. Investigators say that the 17 year old obtained a firearm when he broke into a vehicle parked on Lone Oak Drive. He then used that gun to shoot another 17 year old. That teen is in stable condition this morning UT Medical Center. The teen that was arrested is being charged with aggravated assault, along with charges of theft, burglary of a motor vehicle and having a prohibited weapon.
