Morristown Woman Headed To Prison for Selling Fentanyl Laced Drugs
A Morristown woman will spend the next two decades in prison after two people she sold drugs to, died. According to the US Department of Justice, in January of 2024 25 year old Ashlyn Jade Henry purchased a quantity of cocaine base from her supplier in the Knoxville area for the purpose of reselling it to people in Morristown. The cocaine base turned out to be laced with fentanyl.
Over the course of several days Henry then sold the cocaine laced with fentanyl to numerous victims. At least three victims were found deceased in their homes after using the drugs. Two additional victims overdosed but survived after being resuscitated. Both surviving victims identified Henry as the person that sold them the fentanyl laced cocaine.
On Wednesday in US District Court in Greeneville, Henry was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Morristown Police Department, and the Hamblen County Sherriff’s Office handled the investigation that led to Henry’s arrest.
