Multiple Fire Departments Respond To SUV Fire

The Cosby Volunteer Fire department and the Cocke County Fire department responded Tuesday night to a vehicle fire on Dark Hollow Road in Cosby. 39 year old James Davis told the responding Cocke County deputy that he was driving home from work in his 2000 White Chevy Blazer when the service four wheel drive light on his dash board came on. He then spotted smoke and a small flame coming from behind the dashboard. He stated he drive the vehicle into his yard and got a safe distance away before calling for assistance. When fire crews arrived the Blazer was living up to its name…totally engulfed in flames. Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze with no one being hurt nor damage to anything other than the burned up SUV
