National Bluegrass Band Headlines Del Rio Fall Carnival Event

Saturday, 9/24, the Del Rio School is presenting their 5th annual Beans & Bluegrass Fall Carnival and Car Show. All the fun starts at the Del Rio Elementary school on Route 107 at 11am Saturday morning. There will be great food with soup beans and cornbread with all the fixin’s and a lot more. There’s the car show, games for kids, a cornhole tournament, and of course the bluegrass music. Bands such as The Smith Family, The Spencer Boys and Brookfield Drive will be performing. But, the headliner this year is a new band that really isn’t new. Authentic Unlimited will headline the event. When bluegrass hall of fame member Doyle Lawson decided to retire, three of the members of his band Quicksilver decided to stick together and they formed the band Authentic Unlimited. They record for a national bluegrass label Billy Blue Records and are getting a lot of national attention. They will headline the Beans and Bluegrass Fall Carnival tomorrow in Del Rio. Tickets for the music are $10. Proceeds will benefit the Del Rio School.
