NC Man Arrested For Selling Drugs On The AT

A North Carolina man is in jail in Cocke County after selling drugs on the Appalachian Trail. The Macon County, North Carolina Sheriff’s Office called the Cocke County Sheriff’s office on Tuesday alerting them to a male subject selling illegal Narcotics on the popular hiking trail. A Cocke County deputy found the man and his vehicle on Green Corner Road in Hartford. The man gave consent for his vehicle to be searched. In that search, deputies came across 2 large bags that contained approximately 648 grams of marijuana. They also came across a bag containing 37 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms. 36 year old Loan Craia of Robbinsville, NC admitted the drugs were his. He was taken into custody and faces schedule I narcotics charges.
