Neighboring K-9 Units Help Remove Contraband From Cocke Co Jail

The Cocke County jail had visitors yesterday, but these visitors were on official business. The Jefferson County K-9 unit and the Sevier County K-9 unit were in Newport yesterday as they assisted Cocke County’s K-9 unit in going through the Cocke County jail in an effort to find and remove any and all contraband from the jail. The sheriff’s office says it was a very productive day and that changes are coming to the jail and this was just the start as the process moves forward
