New RV Resort Being Built Off Exit 412
A new RV Resort will be coming to Jefferson County. The announcement was made on Wednesday there are plans to build the Forest Grove RV Resort on Harbin Road just off of Interstate 40 in Dandridge….that will be off of the Deep Springs Road exit which is exit 412. The 500 site RV resort will be built on a 207 acre tract of land and will cost $18 million to build. Developer Tim Hine says it is more than just RV sites that will be included in this project. There will be a covered basketball court, in case it rains the kids will still be able to come out and do something, volleyball, horseshoes,” Hine said. “There’s a catch-and-release pond…a fifty-by-eighty (feet) swimming pool with four water slides. There’s going to be a fifty-by-eighty (foot) dog park as well. Some of the other features include a small market, a more than three-mile walking trail, four bathhouses, plus Wi-Fi and cable TV access. 100 cabins will also be built on the site. Hine says that the first phase of construction should be completed by sometime this fall.
