Newport Harvest Street Festival Planning Ramps Up

The plans are really ramping up for the 36th annual Newport Harvest Street Festival. The annual event is planned this year for the weekend of October 1st and 2nd in downtown Newport. There will be music from many local bands and local dance studios will also be performing. Sunday will bring gospel music to the stage. Of course there will be lots of arts and craft vendors and plenty of great food. Newport AmVets post 75 will once again kick off the opening ceremonies again this year. Applications for vendors are now available at the Chamber of Commerce office or online at www.newportcockecountychamber.com.
