Newport Man Charged With Identity Theft In Morristown

A Newport man was arrested Friday night in Morristown after he gave a fake identity. Police were called to the Morristown Hamblen Hospital…staff there said 33 year old Lance Bly of Newport had come to the hospital in the 6am hour Friday morning for treatment. Bly showed up again at the hospital shortly after 9:30pm Friday night but this time registered under the name of Cody Dubree of Morristown. Hospital staff recognized him from earlier in the day and called police. Bly was arrested by police and charged with identity theft. No details were available as to what Bly was being treated for or why he was using another man’s identity.
