Newport Man Returned Home To A Theft
Cocke County deputies responded to a report of a theft that happened late last week. Michael Ramsey of Newport stated that he had left his home Thursday for a long weekend and returned yesterday to find several things missing from a shed that had been broken into. A couple of the items stolen were a Stihl weed eater and a pressure washer. Ramsey stated that when he left a member of his wife’s family and a friend were at the house. He gave their names as Billy Boykin and Charlie Huff. Ramsey stated that his wife had spoken with someone who stated that Boykin and Huff had come to his home trying to sell the items. It is not known at this time if those items have been sold…no arrests have been made yet in that case.
