Newport Police Called About Theft

A woman called Newport police to report a theft. Erika Cable told police that her grandfather, Bobby Buchanan had met a woman named Cassie Wynn of a website called “Fling.com”. Mr. Buchanan said he went on a date with Wynn on Sunday, March 20th and then stayed the night at the Motel 6. He stated when he woke up at 1 am, Wynn…whose true identity was found to be 26 year old Cassandra Rathbone, was no longer in the room. Some items were no longer in his room either. He found his Ruger .380 handgun was missing as well as his credit card, $350 in cash and Rathbone had sent herself $1000 visa cash app. No arrest has been made yet in that case.
