Nine Cocke County Students Among New Honor Society Members
Ninety-Five students at Walters State Community College have been recognized as new members by Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community colleges. In order to be invited to join that honor society, students are required to have a 3.5 grade point average after completing at least 12 hours of college credit. Several students from Cocke County are among those ninety-five new honor society members. They are:
Sadie Moore and Tristain Ogle of Cosby: Gracie Brooks of Del Rio; Karilyn Hannah,, Ava Kelly, Christopher Logan, Chloe Stinnett and Madalyn Suggs, all of Newport.
Isabelle Gibson of Dandridge was among five students from Jefferson County.
Hamblen County had the most students being invited to become honor society members with 23. That’s followed by Sevier County with 14 students and Greene County with 13.
