Osaka’s Victim Of Break-In

Newport police responded to a break in Friday at Osaka’s restaurant on West Broadway. The unknown suspect destroyed the wooden door attempting to gain access to the inside of the restaurant, but couldn’t get through the second metal door. The unknown male subject then tore the AC unit out of the wall and entered through the hole. The suspect went to the cash register and all they were able to get was $50. They did about 10 times that amount in damage between the AC unit and the damage to the door and cash register. No suspects in that burglary.
