PA Most Wanted Man Arrested In Sevier County
A man that was on the Top 5 Most Wanted List in the state of Pennsylvania has been apprehended in Sevier County. 36-year-old Corey Maikranz was taken into custody Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Smoky Mountains Fugitive Task Force. Maikranz was found at a hotel on Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville. He was wanted in Pennsylvania for child rape and other sex offenses.
Maikranz, who had brutally beaten a three-year-old child in 2016 and has a history of crimes against children, was added to the Top 5 Most Wanted list by Pennsylvania State Police after two crimes in 2024. According to Pennsylvania authorities, first, Maikranz committed acts such as sexually assaulting the victim in their sleep and showering with the victim, while living in the family’s basement.
The second was in November of 2024 when Maikranz had inappropriate contact with a minor and forcibly raped the victim. Police say he was living with the victim and their mother at that time. He is currently in the Sevier County jail and is awaiting extradition back to Dauphin County Pennsylvania.
