Parrottsville Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Being Involved In Car Accident
A Parrottsville men was arrested on drug charges after being involved in a car accident Wednesday night. Newport police say that 20 year old Brandon Einfeldt was driving a Nissan Frontier pickup at a high rate of speed eastbound on West Broadway. He struck a 1988 Toyota pickup in the rear driven by 27 year old Timothy Rathe of Parrottsville. Rathe’s Toyota pickup was upended and rolled over due to impact. Police smelled marijuana on Einfeldt and found a substantial amount of marijuana 367 grams in multiple ziplock baggies along with digital scales in his truck. Both men were checked out by EMS and cleared. Einfeldt was arrested for schedule VI drug possession plus cited for following too close and failure to exercise due care. Timothy Rathe was also cited in that wreck…his Toyota truck was displaying the wrong tag and he was driving on a suspended license.
