Police Called To Quality Inn
Police were called Monday night to the Quality Inn on Cosby Highway about an altercation between an employee and a hotel guest. Officers first spoke with 36 year old Kevin Kirkpatrick who was staying at the hotel with his friend, 29 year old Jennifer Crews. Kirkpatrick admitted that he and Crews had been arguing in the back parking lot. He stated as he came back into the hotel to apologize to staff, one of the desk clerks grabbed him by the neck, shoved him up against the wall and threw him out of the hotel. The desk clerk, who was identified as Richard Sharpe stated that Kirkpatrick & Crews had been problems for several days and had been asked to leave the hotel twice before on Monday after they continued to be a disturbance. That included Crews’ 7 year old child running around the hotel unsupervised and Crews and Kirkpatrick smoking marijuana in their room in front of the child. Sharpe admitted this time he did grab Kirkpatrick and escort him out the door, Both Kirkpatrick and Crews were ordered to leave the property and were issued a trespass order. DCS was called about the child and police did find the hotel room where the pair were staying did smell of marijuana.
