Police Make Arrest At Motel 6

Newport police arrested a woman Wednesday who was wandering around the Motel 6 parking lot attempting to get into vehicles. Motel 6 staff said the woman identified as 50 year old Susan Glenn had also been in the motel and had attempted to gain entry into the motel’s office. Police confronted Glenn who had a white powdery residue covering the interior and exterior of her left nostril and was covering her lips. She had mumbled speech and spoke incoherently. Glenn was placed under arrest for her safety and the safety of the public. Ms. Glenn volunteered to the police that she had consumed Valium in which she was not prescribed. At the jail, correctional staff observed Glenn pull a syringe from her pants and throw it in the trash can. She was charged with unlawful drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
