Police Respond To Overdose Friday Evening

Policed responded to an overdoes on Friday evening. Newport police say they went to an apartment where Jack Saylor told them his 44 year old son Christopher Saylor had become unconscious and unresponsive. He told police he believed his son had overdosed. Neighbors that were on the scene before police had administered Narcan but to no avail. Police administered another does of Narcan plus sternum rubs. After a third dose of Narcan, Christopher Saylor was revived. An uncapped syringe was found nearby and he admitted to police he had shot heroin. Saylor was transported to the Newport Medical Center for further medical evaluation.
