Police Respond To Shots Fired Thursday Morning

Police responded to the area of Woodlawn avenue around midnight Thursday morning in reference to shots being fired. A resident told police that she heard three loud bangs outside her home. When she went out to investigate she saw two empty bullet casings. One on the sidewalk and another in the road. Other neighbors also stated they heard the shots, then heard what sounded like a vehicle leaving at a high rate of speed heading southbound on Woodlawn. Police confiscated two 9mm shell casings. It is not known what direction the perpetrators were firing in and no property was damaged by the bullets.
