Police Respond To Stabbing Tuesday Night
Police were called Tuesday night to the area around the Shell station at Clevenger Cut-Off Road about a stabbing. Witnesses told police that they were exciting I-40 at exit 423 and a black male jumped on the trunk of their car bleeding yelling for help. The witnesses stated that they then saw another black man running towards them with a knife. The witnesses took the injured man to the Exxon location on west Hwy 25/70 and called for help. Police arrived and identified the victim as 28 year old Willie Johnson II. He was bleeding badly form a knife wound to his abdomen. He told police he had been stabbed by his father Willie Johnson II.
Witnesses told police that Willie Johnson II has left the area in a white SUV. Police spotted that SV on I-40 eastbound near MM 437. Johnson finally pulled over at the 440 truck stop on Hwy 73. Johnson told police he and his son had gotten into an argument and that he did pull out a knife and that his son had ran into it. Willie Johnson II was charged with aggravated assault and evading arrest. A woman in his company, 35 year old Samantha Schneider was in possession of 13 baggies of a schedule I narcotic called “Flakka” or “bath salts”. she was charged with narcotics possession.
Willie Johnson III, the stabbing victim, was flown by Lifestar to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. No word on his condition. While loading him into the helicopter, a bottle containing 15 1/2 Oxycodone pills were found in his sock. Charges are pending against him when he recovers from his injury.
