Police Take Two Into Custody With Warrants From Hawkins County

Police were dispatched early this morning out to Irish Cut Road and Swallow Road about a suspicious vehicle. Deputies arrived and found the vehicle with a man and woman asleep. Deputies knocked on the window and the man in the driver’s seat opened the door and a glass pipe used for smoking illegal narcotics was in his lap. The two were identified as Christopher Herman and Heather Leonard. Both were wanted out of Hawkins County. Herman was also wanted on a full extradition warrant out of Buchanan County Virginia. Both were taken into custody and transported to the Cocke County jail.
