Police Trying To Identify Multiple Time Shoplifter
The Newport police department is attempting to identify a woman who was spotted shoplifting at Wal-Mart Monday evening. Wal-Mart loss prevention stated they observed the woman enter the store at the Lawn and Garden entrance. The woman then grabbed Wal-Mart bags from the register area and proceeded to load the Wal-Mart bags with an estimated $100.00 in groceries. The woman then pushed a grocery cart with those groceries out of the store without stopping to pay for them. The woman was spotted leaving Wal-Mart in a gold colored sedan. This is not the first time this particular female subject has done this. Loss prevention at Wal-Mart says they have seen the same woman shoplifting in the same manner on at least 4 prior occasions. The Newport City Police Department has posted a security camera picture of that woman on their Facebook page. If you recognize the woman pictured below, call the Newport Police Department.
