Possible Overdose In Morristown

Morristown police responded to a possible overdose on Friday night and found a lot more. Officers arrived at a home on Valley Street and found EMS working on 35 year old Preston Profitt who had overdosed. In plain view were illegal narcotics and a large amount of cash. After obtaining a search warrant, narcotics officers seized more than 100 grams of methamphetamine and 34 grams of marijuana hidden in containers with false compartments. Drug paraphernalia and scales were also found along with cash…$6,620 believed to be proceeds from drug sales. Officers also seized a 2007 Lexus on site. Profitt was transported to Morristown Hamblen Hospital…charges are pending as that investigation continues.
