Possible Overdose Leads To Two Arrests
Cocke County sheriff’s department responded to the parking lot of Mama’s Kitchen in Cosby Saturday morning about a woman possible overdosing in a car. The responding deputy found two people in the car, the woman plus a man. The woman was identified as Melinda Garver, who was found with two prescription bottles of Pregabalin, a nerve pain medication, in her glove compartment. she was charged with possession of schedule V narcotics. The male subject in the vehicle was under the influence of what was suspected to be heroin. A small baggie of heroin was found near where he was sitting in the vehicle. 61 year old Scottie Hall was then taken into custody as well for possession of schedule I.
