Registration Underway For Newport Christmas Parade

After having a very successful Newport Harvest Street Festival, the Cocke County Partnership is now getting ready for…Santa Claus. The Annual Newport Christmas Parade will be on Friday, December 5th at 6:30 PM. The theme for this years’ parade to welcome the jolly old elf to town is “Lights, Camera, Christmas!”

The parade will feature floats decorated with holiday tv classics like “A Chirstmas Story”, “Miracle On 34th Street” and “Elf”. Parade registration is underway right now. To register to participate in the Christmas Parade, visit the Cocke County Partnership Chamber of Commerce website or call 423-623-7201. Those wishing to participate must sign up before November 25th.

As usual, the parade kicks off at Debbie’s Drive-In, rolls down Broadway through downtown, and wraps up at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
