Representative Diana Harshbarger Announces 2024 Congressional Art Competition
On Wednesday US Representative for the first district, Diana Harshbarger, announced that registration is now open for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. That competition is an opportunity for high school students residing in Tennessee’s First Congressional District to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol on exhibit for one year. The exhibit will include the winning artwork from all participating Congressional Districts across the country. Congresswoman Harshbarger says a team of local judges will be evaluating entries from the first district, which includes all of Cocke, Sevier, Hamblen, Greene and Hawkins counties and most of Jefferson County. The deadline to register and submit artwork for the competition is Thursday, April 25, at 3 p.m.

Last year more than 60 entries were submitted by Tennessee’s First District.
