Road Closures To Happen Prior To Gatlinburg New Year’s Eve Celebration

If you are planning on heading to Gatlinburg tonight for the big New Years’ Eve celebration, make sure you leave early so you are not faced with road closures. Several roads will be closed beginning at 10:30 tonight in Gatlinburg.

Airport Road will be closed from its intersection with Parkway to Cloverleaf Lane.

Parkway will close in both directions from its intersections at Reagan Drive and Maples Lane to LeConte Street.

Detours will be available via River Road

The 37th Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration begins tonight at the base of the Gatlinburg Space Needle. Things kick off tonight at 10:30 with a concert from Drew Baldridge. Then at 11:50 tonight, a drone show will light up the sky above the Gatlinburg Convention Center. That leads to the anticipated ball drop from the Space Needle at midnight. The celebration then concludes with a fireworks display to welcome in 2025.
