Road Rage Leads To Arrest
A 16 year old female driver called police Friday evening from the parking lot of Brock’s Market stating that a man in a red car was following her. Police dispatch told the girl to drive from Brock’s to the Newport police station. While on her way to the police station, the man in the red car called 911 and reported a case of road rage. That man was 51 year old John Freeman. He told police officers, that the young woman had pulled out in front of him and it angered him. He stated the two got into a shouting match. Freeman though became belligerent with officers, so he was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. Officers cuffed Mr. Freeman in the front as he had a dialysis port in his arm and they did not want to damage the port.
