Scotts-Irish Festival Cancelled

Last week we reposted that the Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival next Spring would be moving to the Smoky Mountain Visitors Center for 2022…well a festival a little closer to home is now being cancelled. The Dandridge Scots-Irish festival that had been set for September 25th has now been called off. Event organizers stated with recent spike in Covid cases, they have decided to pull the plug on one of Jefferson County’s favorite events. The Scots-Irish festival routinely draws thousands of people from around the area. In fact, the one day event in 2019…the last year it was held, drew 7,000 people. The festival’s board of directors says they will hold the Scots-Irish festival again in 2022
