Sen Steve Southerland Hospitalized After Medical Emergency

Tennessee State Senator Steve Southerland is currently hospitalized in Nashville. Southerland suffered a medical emergency on the floor of the senate chambers on Monday afternoon. He was rushed out of the senate chambers and taken to an area hospital where he is being treated and evaluated. No word on what the medical emergency was that sent Steve Southerland to the hospital. Southerland is the state senator for a district that includes all of Cocke County, Greene County, Unicoi County, Hamblen County and a large part of Sevier County.
