Seven Springs Market Robbed

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place Tuesday evening, 9/24, at the Seven Springs Market on Wilton Springs Road. The clerk says he was putting cash into the cash register when a male subject entered the store, got an RC Cola out of the drink cooler, and brought it up to the cash register. The male subject then ran around the counter with a knife in his hand, plus also brandished a black handgun in the right side of his waistband. The man ordered the clerk to go into the bathroom and not come out. The clerk says when he came back about five minutes later, the subject had fled on foot and had taken approximately $700 in cash from the register.

Security camera footage on site showed there were no cars in the parking lot at the time of the incident and the male subject appeared to have walked from further down the roadway towards Highway 73, where the cameras would not have captured the vehicle. The sheriff’s office has no suspects at this time, so no arrests have been made. If you have information regarding this robbery, contact the Cocke County Sheriff’s office.
