Sevier County Authorities Make An Arrest In Car Burglary Spree
Sevier County Sheriff Michael Hodges says a man responsible for a series of car burglaries in the New Center area is now in custody. Earlier this month, Sevier County investigators began looking into a series of vehicle break-ins that were occurring in the New Center community, which is just a few miles from Cocke County.
Last week, Sheriff Hodges says his office arrested the man they say is responsible for those burglaries. 44 year old Brian Jamar Underwood of Knoxville was taken into custody and is now charged with seven (7) counts of Burglary (Automobile). Underwood faces additional charges of Vandalism, Fraudulent use of a Credit/Debit Card, Forgery, and Theft of Property. He is being held in the Sevier County jail pending a court hearing.
