Sevierville Man To Spend A Dozen Years In Prison For Phonography
A Sevierville man will be spending a more than a dozen years in prison after he plead guilty to child pornography charges. The US Department of Justice says that 47 year old Ronnie Joe Maples back in 2022 began corresponding with an individual working with the FBI and the Secret Service. Maples spoke on the internet with that person about molesting children and producing child pornography. Maples then received child pornography sent from the individual working with law enforcement. This week, Maples plead guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography. he was sentenced to 151 months in prison. After his release, he will have to register as a sex offender and comply with the restrictions that come with that.
