Shoplifter Swaps Barcodes At Wal-Mart

Newport police were called to Wal-Mart on Cosby Hwy Monday in reference to a shoplifter. 35 year old Deonta Robinson was swapping a codes on items. He had swapped the bar code for an $88 TV with an item that cost 88 cents. Robinson was already under investigation for doing the same thing on Friday at Wal-Mart where he swapped barcodes on over $195 worth of merchandise. This time Robinson was arrested for theft under $1,000. He was also banned from entering that Wal-Mart.
