Silver Alert Issued For Jefferson Co. Woman

A Silver Alert has been issued for a Jefferson County woman. Authorities say that 70 year old Sharon Looney walked away from her home in New Market Monday afternoon around 5:20 and never returned. Sharon Looney suffers from dementia and diabetes so her family is very concerned about her safety. The Tennessee Highway Patrol used their helicopter in the search Monday evening, but Looney was not located. She is 5′4″ with blonde hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a red and black dress. Anyone who sees this missing woman is being asked to call 1-800 TBI-FIND.
