Some NU Water Customers To Face Low Water Presssure

Some Newport residents living in the area where the new Newport bypass is under construction will have to deal with some lower water pressure this week. Newport Utilities says as part of the Newport Bypass water tie-in work that begins today, NU Water Crews will need to temporarily eliminate a feed. Newport Utilities says this will affect approximately 113 homes in that area. The streets that will be affected by that low water pressure are… Wells Dr.; Travis Way; Flat Woods Way; Banjo Way; and Jessica Way. NU Water customers on those roads will experience low water pressure all this week, through next Monday August 15. Newport Utilities says the work is necessary to disinfect the new water lines and conduct bacteriological water sampling.
