Spinach Recall In Tennessee
A spinach recall to tell you about in Tennessee. Fresh Express is recalling spinach because it may contain listeria. These bags of spinach were shipped to seven states including Tennessee. Fresh Express issued the recall after Florida Department of Agriculture registered a positive result during a routine test for listeria. Listeria, can cause serious and even fatal infections in young children or people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include fever, headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
The pre-packaged spinach was sold in 8-ounce Fresh Express bags, as well as 9-ounce bags under the Publix brand name. It is the Publix bags that are being recalled in Tennessee. The UPC code on the bags are 0 41415 00886 1
The Bag code is G332 with a best buy date of Dec 14, 2023.
Retailers have been told to pull the product off of shelves. If you think you bought one of the affected bags of spinach, Fresh Express says you should throw it away. You can get a refund from the Publix store where you purchased it, or call Fresh Express at (800) 242-5472.
