Still A Handful Without Power In Cocke County
Most of Cocke County has the lights back on. When Mother Nature slammed the area Monday with the season’s first snowstorm, heavy snow snapped trees and brought down power lines leaving many without electricity for at least a short while. Around 500 homes were still waiting as of Tuesday to see their power restored. This morning there are just 55 homes in the county still without power. About half of those are in Cosby, which was the hardest hit by the outages.
In Sevier County, over 13,000 electric meters are still showing as out of service. At its peak around 11am Monday, there were close to 35,000 homes without power in Sevier County.
