Stolen Garbage Truck Crashes In Sevier County

Most people if they were going to steal a vehicle would target a real nice car. But, not a thief in Knox County. That person decided Monday morning to steal a garbage truck.

Police chased the garbage truck thief down Chapman Highway crossing at one point into Blount County and then into Sevier County. Sevier County authorities then joined in the chase.

The Sevierville Police Department says the thief eventually crashed the heisted garbage truck in the 1300 block of Dolly Parton Parkway near Sevier County High School. No further information has been released at this time.
