Sullivan County Woman Charged With Attempted Murder
A Sullivan County woman is now in custody after being wanted for a couple weeks for attempted murder and especially aggravated kidnapping. Sullivan County authorities with the assistance of the US Marshal’s service arrested 41 year old Lorraine Hearl after she stabbed her boyfriend and then locked him in a storage unit. Investigators say on April 25th, deputies were called to a Sullivan County home in reference to a stabbing. Investigators spoke to the victim who said that he and his girlfriend had been arguing earlier at a storage unit they shared when she stabbed him in the chest. Investigators also spoke with a witness who said that Hearl came to his home and told him that her boyfriend was at the storage unit and needed to be “let out.” The witness went to the storage unit, which was locked, and freed the victim…and then got him medical attention. An arrest warrant was then issued for Lorraine Hearl and authorities arrested her yesterday afternoon. She is being held in the Sullivan County jail without bond.
