Tennessee Man charged With Killing His Father

A Tennessee man has been charged with killing his own father after a body was found in McMinn County last week. A hiker had found the human remains in the Tellico Plains area a short distance off the Cherahola Skyway. According to the TBI an autopsy performed on the remains confirmed the identity of the victim as 64 year old John Henry Ball of Polk County. Authorities say their investigation led police to 45-year-old John Scott Ball…the TBI saying the son killed his father then dumped the body. John S. Ball was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and one count of abuse of a corpse. He is being held in the Polk County Jail without bond. No further details about that murder have been released.
