The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
The Newport Theatre Guild is gearing up for its fall production, presenting the beloved holiday classic The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. The show will be performed at Cocke County High School with showtimes on November 21st at 7 p.m., November 22nd at both 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and November 23rd at 2 p.m.
Tickets will be sold at the door only, priced at $15 for adults and $10 for students.
Based on the popular story by Brenda Robinson, the play follows a church Christmas production thrown into chaos when the notorious Herdman children are cast in the leading roles. What begins as what many expect to be the “worst Christmas pageant ever” turns into a touching lesson about the true meaning of the holiday season.
Directed by Nathan Bugg, the show features a talented cast of both children and adults. Organizers say it’s the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season in Cocke County.
